State Regent’s Projects

• The Music Therapy for Veterans program offers financial support, instruments, and practical help to Veterans at Veteran Affairs (VA) facilities in Oregon for their music initiatives. Through music, this program assists patients with various neurological and mental health conditions, such as strokes, traumatic brain injuries, dementia, depression, anxiety disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).​

• The Slagle Administration will invest resources in the construction of new restrooms at the Newell Pioneer Village.  Installation of ADA-compliant restrooms at the Newell Pioneer Village will provide a more meaningful experience, with proper facilities. In 2023, over two thousand five hundred students visited the Newell Pioneer Village for our school tours. During large events at our museum complex, such as weddings, we must rent restrooms.
